The man in black

I'm a big fan of the Guitar Hero franchise and i got very excited when they started making musical legends playable characters. Who doesn't want to rock around a stage with Billy Corgan or have a guitar battle with Tom Morello? Well with the latest instalment in the series, Guitar Hero 5, you can make one or more of these stars a part of your band, so you can use your customized character and have them back you up on drums or bass.



I thought this was an awesome idea until i put in into practice, when i scrolled upon a pick your song set list i quite quickly chose 'Make it wit chu' by Queens of the Stone Age and that's when things stared to urk me. Not so much because of the song, but because of the fact that in my band i had Johnny Cash on bass, (that image is weird enough as it is) and everyone on the stage who isn't doing lead vocals on this song does the backing vocals.

Johnny Cash on a stage in front of virtual millions singing 'i wanna make it, i wanna make it wit chu' in a falsetto just isn't right. It's a great idea having it set up how it is and I'm sure plenty of people love it, but it just seems unholy. I never thought of myself as a musical snob but maybe i should start to.
